May we introduce: Frank Turner - well-travelled troubadour and down-to-earth folk-punk hero. 2012 was his year: First, the 31-year-old played his biggest solo concert to date in front of 12,000 fans at London's Wembley Arena. Three months later, Frank Turner followed director Danny Boyle's request and opened the Summer Olympics in London together with Paul McCartney, the Arctic Monkeys and Duran Duran.Dreamlike milestones for a guy who once started his career as the singer of the hardcore band Million Dead and now as a solo artist has become one of the most successful singer / songwriters of the modern era. His interim record is quite impressive: More than 300,000 albums sold and more than 1,300 concerts in pubs, clubs and arenas around the world. Now Frank Turner awaits us with his new album "Tape Deck Heart".Frank Turner's wish was for the album to be no longer than 45 minutes: "We had about 25 song ideas when we went into the studio," the singer recalls. "Then we steamrolled the material down to the best twelve songs. That way it also fits quite nicely on one side of a C90 cassette." From the opener "Recovery" to the uptempo song "Losing Days" to "Broken Piano," "Tape Deck Heart" features everything Frank Turner is all about: courage, commitment, honesty, and everlasting hope.
