F.S. Blumm, Nils Frahm – 2X1=4 (2xLP)

F.S.Blumm and Nils Frahm will release their fourth album together on 03 September 2021: "2X1=4" will be released by LEITER, the new label of Frahm and his longtime manager Felix Grimm. On the album's seven tracks, the duo surprises with a shared passion for dub, while treading musical terrain that is by no means foreign to either musician. F.S.Blumm, for example, collaborated with Lady Ann and Lee Scratch Perry as a co-founder of Quasi Dub Development for the 2014 album Little-Twister vs. Stiff-Neck. Nils Frahm's music, on the other hand - not least the 2018 album All Melody - occasionally betrays a fondness for the studio techniques associated with dub, even if he admits with a wink that his approach has always been "a bit more German" than his influences.
