JARV IS... – Beyond The Pale

Originally formed at the end of 2017 to perform at Sigur Ros's "Norður og Niður" festival in Iceland, the band, which besides Jarvis Cocker consists of Serafina Steer, Emma Smith, Andrew McKinney, Jason Buckle and Adam Betts, was formed.

The idea was to write songs in collaboration with an audience. Jarv Is recorded their performances to develop the songs further. Producer Geoff Barrow (Portishead) finally suggested to use the recordings as a basis for an album.

"Beyond The Pale" is the name of the seven track strong result recorded at Narcissus Studios in Neasden, London and at the Place du Big Boss in Raynes Park, London.

With "Must I Evolve?" and "House Music All Night Long" there were already a few listening impressions.
