"Volcano" follows Jungle's previous album, "Loving In Stereo," which was a milestone for the acclaimed British duo.
The album reached its highest position ever on the UK charts, debuting at #3, while peaking at #1 on the international charts in major countries such as Australia, Germany (#18), Switzerland (#8), Belgium and the Netherlands; and in the U.S., it catapulted to #1 on the Billboard Dance Albums chart, leading to major arena shows supporting Billie Eilish.
The free-spirited energy that runs through "Volcano" reflects how organically the album came together. J and T had written most of the album on tour before they began recording while living in an Airbnb in Los Angeles. Later, the album was completed at home in London at their favorite venue, Studio B at Metropolis Studios. This time, the duo wanted to incorporate a wider variety of voices into the album. In addition to Erick The Architect, they also re-signed Bas (who was featured on the "Loving In Stereo" single "Romeo") for "Pretty Little Thing," as well as bringing in talent like Roots Manuva, Channel Tres and JNR Williams.
