In 1976, Kiss dropped a hard rock bomb on the world with "Destroyer," an album that was originally met with fan resistance as the band explored a new sound. Today, it's the rock legends' best-selling album."Destroyer" is the fourth studio album by Kiss. It was recorded between 1975 and 1976 at Electric Lady and Record Plant Studios in New York City with producer Bob Ezrin. It was originally released on March 15, 1976, a year after "Dressed To Kill", and was a musical departure from the raw sound of the previous three albums into heavy metal. Exploding with concert classics and Kiss Army favorites like "Detroit Rock City," "Shout It Out Loud" and "God Of Thunder," the album's new sound stemmed from the softer side and songs like "Do You Love Me?" and tracks rich in orchestral arrangements like "Great Expectations" and their surprise hit single "Beth."
