Liturgy's signature rhythmic complexity and repetition is elevated to maximalist proportions on "93696." Joined by guitarist Mario Miron, bassist Tia Vincent-Clark and drummer Leo Didkovsky, Hunt-Hendrix uses Liturgy's earlier musings on bursting beats and circuitous phrases as colors to paint rich murals that overwhelm and enliven the senses. "93696" is the purest synthesis of Liturgy's diversity, a sprawling and monumental double album that explores religion, cosmic love, the feminine and metamorphosis while manifesting the ecstatic with breathtaking grandeur.
