First release of the never released debut album by Brazilian keyboardist Marcos Resende, who later created a jazz-funk classic with "Festa Para Um Novo Rei" (1978).The self-titled debut was recorded in 1976, but the desired deal with CTI Records never materialised, so the recordings disappeared onto the musician's shelves before Joe Davies (Far Out Recordings) got hold of them in 2018 and restored them with care.The 6 tracks are a timeless and futuristic masterpiece from the glory days of progressive, instrumental Brazilian sound that Gilles Peterson raves about: "'Doing the Vels Trio/Yussef Kamaal thing in 1976.
