Röyksopp – Melody A.M. (2xLP)

Since the release of their classic debut album Melody A. M. in 2001, Norwegian electronic musicians Röyksopp have released only three other studio albums.

"We feel like there's a lot of music out there that just doesn't have an identity - something we really strive for in our music," Torbjørn says of the time that passes between releases. "We don't feel like we're in a hurry; we intend to make music that can't be found elsewhere - which is both ambitious and time-consuming," Svein agrees. "And we also want our music to have longevity, so we always try to produce and work on it in a way that stands out from generic production trends."

On November 21, 2007, the album was included in The Guardian's "1000 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die" series.
