  • "Tin Machine II" was released in 1991 by Victory Music and is the second and also the last studio album by the Tin Machine (the supergroup around David Bowie), whose expert reviews consistently evolved positively over the following years. Uncut magazine called the work "extraordinary" and placed it on the best list of the greatest albums of all time not currently available for purchase ("50 Great Lost Albums"). After this album and the support tour, frontman David Bowie continued his solo career.

As with all Bowie albums, there are many strong tracks on this one, making it a must have for any of his fans. The opening track "Baby Universal" is pure Bowie. He originally re-recorded this track in 1996 for his 1997 album "Earthling" but later did not release it on it. It wasn't finally used until 2020 for the Bowie EP "Is it Any Wonder?".

The first single "You Belong in Rock'n'Roll" was released before the album and reached number 33 in the UK. The second single, "Baby Universal", reached a successful #21 on the US modern rock charts, and the third and final single, "One Shot", became an even bigger hit, reaching #3.

The album cover is by Edward Bell, who had previously collaborated with Bowie on the artwork for "Scary Monsters". It was censored for the original release in the US.
