Ty Segall is a hyperactive jack-of-all-trades. The multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from San Francisco already has a few full-length releases under his belt this year - after a singles compilation, he recorded a split album called "Hair" together with White Hence in May, then the album "Slaughterhouse" with his own touring band, and now his brand-new solo album titled "Twins" is finally released.
The twelve new songs move between Bay Area psychedelia, Garage Punkrock, Noise Rock, Space- and Experimental rock. And "Twins" are like a massive explosion: Ty shoots out of all the tubes into the rock stratosphere, the songs explode there like multivariable projectiles, as if from a rifle brand Yin and Yang. The ball then falls back to earth and lands as "Twins".
Too hot to be touched, but we can't help it and get but we can't help it and like to get burned by it. Just hot mass, irresistibly beautiful, "Twins".
