After Liam Gallagher released an "Acoustic Sessions" EP with six songs from his MTV Unplugged concert at the beginning of 2020, albeit only digitally, the album is now finally available on CD and vinyl.
the recording is called "Liam Gallagher: MTV Unplugged (Live At Hull City Hall)". The name gives it away: the concert was recorded at Hull City Hall in Kingston upon Hull in Yorkshire, England, on August 3, 2019. The British singer, musician and younger of the two Oasis brothers played an hour-long set with a total of ten songs.
In addition to his own hits such as "Wall Of Glass", "Gone" and "Now That I Found You", he also performed unplugged versions of the Oasis classics "Champagne Supernova", "Some Might Say" and, for the first time ever, "Sad Song". Gallagher was supported on stage by the 24-piece Urban Soul Orchestra, and the band's rhythm guitarist Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs joined him for the Oasis tracks.
An intimate concert, an exciting set, the Britpop pioneer from his quiet side: here is "Liam Gallagher: MTV Unplugged (Live At Hull City Hall)".
