Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever's "Hope Downs" is exactly the album promised by their two buzz-building EPs, "Talk Tight" (2015) and "The French Press" (2017). The album title, borrowed from the name of a giant open pit mine in the middle of Australia, refers to the feeling of standing on the edge of the void of the great unknown and finding something to hold onto.
