Elvis Presley, The Jordanaires – Elvis Is Back! (Speakers Corner)

With the still warm release certificate in his luggage, Elvis went into the studio in March 1960 and recorded a series of later world hits like "Are You Lonesome Tonight" and "It's Now Or Never". While these cuddly songs caused a furore as single releases, the LP with numbers like "Dirty, Dirty Feeling", "Like A Baby" and "The Thrill Of Your Love" shows Elvis' strengthened qualities as a rock, blues and gospel singer. That his voice - despite all fears - had lost nothing of its tingling eroticism is proven by the master in "Fever", accompanied only by bass and percussion.

In its stylistic diversity, this album represents one of the most ingenious litters of early Elvis, which followed nothing comparable before his great comeback in 1968
