Hip-hop fans around the world were curious to see what would happen next with Joey Bada$$ after he delighted us ten years ago with his critically acclaimed, breakthrough mixtape 1999. in 2017, the New Yorker released his second album, "All Amerikkan Bada$$." However, sonically it was different from his debut. Still, it is known that Joey is a true student of hip-hop and looks up to true legends of the game such as MF Doom, Jay-Z, Nas and the Wu-Tang Clan. His rap skills on "1999" clearly showed that he had taken his time and put in a lot of work, and the result was that everyone was eagerly awaiting his next release.
With 2000, Joey Bada$$ proves that he is still as sharp as he was when he first got into the rap business. He delivers a smart social commentary on American gun violence.
